2022 Day of Action at Brookdale Resource Center
On Saturday, June 18th, more than 77 volunteers participated in United Way of Central Georgia's largest community volunteer day of the year at Brookdale Resource Center. 
Bibb County Schools raises over $100,000!
Wow! Bibb County Schools has done it again this year. This is the second year in a row that their workplace campaign raised over $100,000. This puts them in the #4 position on our list of the most generous workplaces in Central Georgia. As Superintendent, we cannot thank Dr. Jones enough for his leadership and collaboration with United Way.

Parents as Teachers Program Celebrates Fathers
UWCG hosted a Parents as Teachers Father's Day Family Connection event to honor fathers and the important role they play in their children's lives. Through personal visits and group meetings, UWCG's Parents as Teachers program uses an evidence-based model for parent education. We equip parents with information and resources to help their children have a strong start in life and a better chance of success in school.
Community Schools United EOY Recap
In 2021, United Way of Central Georgia launched the Community Schools United initiative as key piece to UWCG's fight to disrupt the cycle of family poverty. Our Community Schools United program, a collaboration with two Bibb County elementary schools, L.H. Williams and Burdell-Hunt, focuses on whole-child development and well-being for students and the community.
