Did You Know?
There are open jobs in Athens!
We believe that one of the pillars of economic recovery is get people re-employed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Many businesses are hiring people right now -- at competitive wages and benefits. Our expectation is to have an online database with a listing of all jobs in the Athens area. That database is going through some changes to make it more easily used. In the meantime we will post FEATURED JOBS each week, with our first post debuting tomorrow, Wednesday 09.16. If you would like your company’s jobs to be noted within this database please respond to David Bradley at david.bradley@athensga.com.

Donate to the Athens Area Teacher Reuse Store
The Athens Area Teacher Reuse Store is a unique collaboration of businesses, industries, non-profits and governments working together to collect usable materials that may have otherwise been discarded, and offer them to local teachers and schools at no cost. This project supports reuse, reduces the amount of waste disposed in our landfill, and supports our local educational community.
The Teacher Reuse Store is open year-round for free “shopping” to educators from Clarke, Oconee, Madison, Jackson, and Barrow counties. Please take the time to consider what your organization discards or has as no-longer-needed surplus. You may discover that your ‘trash’ is a local teacher’s treasure!
