Last Friday night, we hosted a movie night for Requiem.

Halloween Parade

On Saturday, we handed out popcorn during the Anaheim Halloween Parade to our community. Thank you to those who helped make this possible!

Reformation Sunday

This last Sunday we had our annual celebration of our Presbyterian heritage on Reformation Sunday. We celebrated with bagpipes and by wearing our tartans and kilts to church.

I want to express how truly grateful I am for everyone's kindness, patience, and encouragement during my time at Anaheim First Presbyterian Church. Working here has been such a meaningful experience. New Worship Series: Glimmers of God

Sermon: Glimmers of God's Call

Scripture: Exodus 3:1-12

In Psalm 139 the psalmist asks where someone could go to get away from God. And the answer is ‘nowhere.’ There is nowhere we can go that is away from God. God is always present and at work all around us. The trick is to learn to watch for and respond to God’s appearance, even if it is no more than a glimmer.

Choir Practice - October 30

Our Chancel Choir is a non auditioned choir that is supported by the wonderful voices of our choral interns. All are welcome to add their voice as we lead the congregation in giving praise to God.

The Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) is currently working on writing a Mission Discernment Profile (MDP) for our congregation. When completed it will be used to post our position on the Church Leadership Connection (CLC) of our denomination. The profile is used by the denomination to match our position with potential candidates and also provides candidates for the position of Pastor with an overview of congregation and what we are looking for in our next pastor.

Sunday, November 16 after Worship

New to Anaheim First Pres and want to know more about who we are?

Been around for a while, but could use a refresher?

Interested in becoming a member of the congregation, but want more information about what that would mean?

Join us after worship on November 16 for an introduction to Presbyterianism in general and our congregation in particular. 

A light lunch will be provided and child care will be available.

Hanging of the Greens - November 30

During worship we will delight in the meaning of our traditional Advent and Christmas decorations as we begin to put them up in the sanctuary. Following worship we invite everyone to stay and help us finish decking the halls of our church. 

We pray that these symbols of the season that signal our Christmas preparations will also remind us of our need to prepare our hearts as well.

Gathering of Spirits - Cancelled for November and December

Join us at 5:45 pm at Windsor Browns for a time when our spirits encounter God’s Spirit in spirited discussion on wide ranging topics.

Please consider making a special donation toward Per Capita for 2025.

As part of a connectional church we pay per capita apportionment per member to support the work of the larger Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This year the amount is $44.69 and will be divided between Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly. Every Presbyterian shares in the benefit of the PC (USA)'s system of government, so every Presbyterian is asked to share the expenses associated with coordinating and performing the functions of that system. Please consider making this special offering. You may add it to your regular offering, but please note that the donation includes an offering to per capita.
