On October 7th Anaheim First Presbyterian Church led a time of Blessing of the Animals. Thank you to Citi Pawz in Anaheim for hosting this event! | This year's flu clinic took place on Sunday, October 8th in our courtyard. A huge thanks to our Faith Community Nurse, Juliana Emina-Coney and Hoag Hospital for working to keep our community healthy! | |
Please be advised! A member of the congregation received an email this week from someone claiming to be Pastor Kim and asking for help to buy gift cards for the church staff. While honoring our staff is always a great idea,
Pastor Kim will NEVER email or text any member of the congregation with a request like this! NEVER. She will not email for help from you if she is stranded while traveling. She will never request that you purchase gift cards on her behalf.
If you are ever in doubt about whether or not a message you receive is really from the Pastor Kim, please call the church office directly to confirm.

Do you struggle with traditional prayer forms and find that words fall short of what you want to express to God? Christine Smith, Artist and Spiritual Director, will lead a session on Visio Divina--a prayer practice that connects us to God through art.
Donations for this experience (ordinarily this workshop costs $25) will support Sanctuary renovations at Anaheim First Presbyterian Church. Please register by signing up through the church (714-535-2176) or by clicking Here

Gathering of Spirits is an informal time of open conversation
where human spirits can connect with one another and God’s Spirit
while sipping some spirits (or soft drinks).
Windsor Browns is a Beer, Wine, and Sandwich Pub located at the corner of Center St Promenade and Clementine.
It is an easy 1 block walk from the church.
Our next meeting will be on October 17, 2023.
Meeting time changed to 5:45pm to get Happy Hour pricing!
|
If you are able to donate cookies or finger desserts or help with set up or hosting the event, please contact Norma Leichtweis or Pastor Kim.
There will also be a sign up sheet in the Narthex this Sunday.

Sunday Lunch Bunch
Several people have expressed an interest in getting together for lunch after Sunday worship, so let's give it a try!
Our next lunch date will be on Sunday, October 29, 2023, after the church service. Unless otherwise announced we will go to Baja California Mexican Grill in the Vons shopping center 2 blocks north of the church.
It will be fun getting to know each other better in a social setting, rather than just saying "Hi" on Sunday morning!!
Bring a friend, spouse, or significant other.

Fellowship and Goodies?
It's so good to see more people staying after church for the coffee,
goodies and fellowship!
One small problem! To keep the goodies coming, we are going to need
some more volunteers to bring them.
Right now, one person is doing most of it, so be a good sport and bring
some goodies, so we can continue this time of fellowship!
We can always freeze some, if we should happen to get an overabundance,
which I am hoping for!!!!!!
We can't say thank-you enough to Dale and his coffee cart, and Tracy,
who is his right hand gal. Without them, there would be no fellowship!!!
