How Do You Spell Presbyterian? 

On Sunday, we gathered and not only learned how to spell Presbyterian but learned a lot about one another. We truly are the church together.

In Psalm 139 the psalmist asks where someone could go to get away from God. And the answer is ‘nowhere.’ There is nowhere we can go that is away from God. God is always present and at work all around us. The trick is to learn to watch for and respond to God’s appearance, even if it is no more than a glimmer.

Want to let your inner artist out? Can you stay for a little while following today's service? We have a nativity display that needs a little help before we put it up in a week. Replacements for two of the characters (circled in the picture) need to be painted. If you are interested in helping out you may want to wear painting clothes to church this Sunday. Questions? Our Chancel Choir is a non auditioned choir that is supported by the wonderful voices of our choral interns. All are welcome to add their voice as we lead the congregation in giving praise to God.

The Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) is currently working on writing a Mission Discernment Profile (MDP) for our congregation. When completed it will be used to post our position on the Church Leadership Connection (CLC) of our denomination. The profile is used by the denomination to match our position with potential candidates and also provides candidates for the position of Pastor with an overview of congregation and what we are looking for in our next pastor.

Hanging of the Greens - November 30

During worship we will delight in the meaning of our traditional Advent and Christmas decorations as we begin to put them up in the sanctuary. Following worship we invite everyone to stay and help us finish decking the halls of our church. 

We pray that these symbols of the season that signal our Christmas preparations will also remind us of our need to prepare our hearts as well.

Anyone who wishes may join us in going out to lunch after Worship and Hanging of the Greens. The location is TBD.

Gathering of Spirits - Cancelled for November and December

Join us at 5:45 pm at Windsor Browns for a time when our spirits encounter God’s Spirit in spirited discussion on wide ranging topics.

Please pray for Matthew Ramirez’s sister, Samantha Fernandez, who is on bedrest in the hospital awaiting the birth of her son.

Please consider making a special donation toward Per Capita for 2025.

As part of a connectional church we pay per capita apportionment per member to support the work of the larger Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This year the amount is $44.69 and will be divided between Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly. Every Presbyterian shares in the benefit of the PC (USA)'s system of government, so every Presbyterian is asked to share the expenses associated with coordinating and performing the functions of that system. Please consider making this special offering. You may add it to your regular offering, but please note that the donation includes an offering to per capita.

Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not regretfully or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
