This Sunday!

Series: Meeting God in the Ordinary

Sermon: Sleeping and Resting in God

Scripture: Mark 4:35-41

Inspired by the book, Liturgy of the Ordinary; Sacred Practices in Everyday Life by Tish Harrison Warren, we will spend the ordinary days of summer considering ordinary acts in which we engage in an ordinary day and how they invite us into spiritual practices that grow and deepen our connection with God. From making our bed and losing our keys to eating leftovers and fighting with our spouse, we will see what these simple, ordinary moments of our lives can teach us about worship and the life of faith.

Discernment Journey

We have begun a study of the congregation to identify our strengths and discern God's leading for our future. The first step on this journey will be a survey.

Read the letter that went out last week about why we are embarking on this journey and learn more about how to help by completing this very important survey by clicking here.

Giving

Please consider making a special donation toward Per Capita.

As part of a connectional church we pay per capita apportionment per member to support the work of the larger Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This year the amount is $40.65 and will be divided between Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly. Every Presbyterian shares in the benefit of the PC (USA)'s system of government, so every Presbyterian is asked to share the expenses associated with coordinating and performing the functions of that system. Please consider making this special offering, You may add it to your regular offering, but please make a note that the donation includes an offering to per capita.

Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not regretfully or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
