Lent Worship Series - Lent in Plain Sight

Reflecting on how God's grace becomes tangible

through ordinary objects in our lives.

Sermon: Lent in Plain Sight: the Cross

Scripture: I Corinthians 1:18-25 & Mark 8:31-38

God often works through the ordinary: ordinary people, ordinary objects, ordinary grace. It is through the mundane that we hear God’s invitation to grow in faith and service. This Lent, guided by the book, Lent in Plain Sight by Jill Duffield, we will focus on ten ordinary objects that Jesus would have encountered on his way to Jerusalem (dust, bread, the cross, coins, shoes, oil, coats, towels, thorns, and stones*) and listen for the lessons that God offers to us through them.

The church has copies of the book for a suggested donation of $12. If you would like to order your own copy or read on Kindle, CLICK HERE.

Special Visitor

Marta, Linda Newby's contact from Ukraine, will be in church. She will be sharing briefly in service and will be available for conversation during coffee fellowship.
