We Are the Church!

June 2nd was Susan's last Sunday serving as an intern at AFPC. We have been so blessed by her faithfulness and serving heart. Susan, you will be missed! Thank you for everything!

Children's Ministry

A new day is coming for Children and Families at AFPC! On Sunday, parents, grandparents, nursery staff, and other interested members gathered to begin to dream about how we can be more intentional about the education and spiritual nurture of our children. Watch for ways that you can pitch in as plans come into focus. The Connor Family has already offered tangible support in the form of a new play table for the classroom/nursery.

This Sunday!

Sermon: Catching What the Nurses Have

Scripture: I Corinthians 1:3-7

This Sunday, Dave Dorman will preach and lead worship. Dave and Ruth Dorman were married at Anaheim First Presbyterian Church in 1980, and joined the church shortly afterwards. They moved north in the early 1990s when Dave took a job at Fuller Seminary, where he completed his Ph.D. and later taught theology. He has served both in administration and in teaching, and the family (with son Mark) enjoyed 6 months in Beirut, Lebanon, when he taught at the historic Protestant seminary, as a mission worker under the PCUSA. He currently teaches theology courses in the School of Nursing at APU, and administers their international nursing programs. Dave and Ruth are delighted to be back together with many friends at Anaheim First!

Giving

Please consider making a special donation toward Per Capita.

As part of a connectional church we pay per capita apportionment per member to support the work of the larger Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This year the amount is $40.65 and will be divided between Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly. Every Presbyterian shares in the benefit of the PC (USA)'s system of government, so every Presbyterian is asked to share the expenses associated with coordinating and performing the functions of that system. Please consider making this special offering, You may add it to your regular offering, but please make a note that the donation includes an offering to per capita.

We are greatly deeply grateful for the financial support of the congregation.
We are in the midst of a challenging year with no school leasing the Calvin Building and following two years of disrupted giving patterns due to Covid.

For those who worship with us in person,
Offering Plates will be available at the back of the Sanctuary on Sundays

Donations may also be mailed to the church office:
