MINISTER'S MESSAGE

This is a beautiful Christmas letter from our founder, Dr. Ernest Holmes, circa 1947, that I wanted to share with you. It touches my heart and I hope that it will touch yours, too.

CSL GIVING TREES

CSL is supporting two giving trees this year. One is for Astegos , a non-profit organization that operates homeless shelter in Boise that is open during the day, giving homeless families a place to go during the cold of the day. You can find more information about this organization at Astegos.org

There are tags on the tree for such things as toys, movie passes and office supplies to support the office, but you can also bring any kind of children's toys or clothing for children that come into the shelter at the last minute before the holidays.
The second tree giving tree is for the Animal Kinship ministry. It's to help families and individuals that may have difficulty buying food for their pet this holiday season and for the feral cats in the area.

Please return your donations back to the church by Sunday, December 23rd or call the church office at 208-375-0751 to arrange a drop off.

Thank you for your generosity.

Prayer of the Week

“No one can travel the new road for us but ourselves…so must we decide that life is for us and not against us and turning from everything that denies this, take our journey into the Promised Land.” Earnest Holmes, Living the Science of Mind Pg.409.4

Gazing out on the pristine hillsides covered with the new fallen snow, we are reminded of the will to live in the seeds and shoots that lie below, that will present itself in the spring. This will to live cannot be stopped or slowed, even by the cold embrace of winter’s snow, and the months of cold yet to be endured, for it is driven by the power of the Divine Spirit, that one source of all that is, that Creator of Heaven and Earth and everything in between.

That same Presence and Power is everywhere present all the time and is in each one of us, uniting all of us together with the Allness of the entire Cosmos.
As a result, the Divine Will to Live is in each one of us, more that just a will to survive, but a force for good that each of us can tap into and use to manifest our dreams and help make the world a better place for everyone and everything. We focus our eyes on our vision of peace and justice, and allow the Divine Will to Live to empower our actions as we take our journey into the Promised Land.

With great gratitude in our hearts for the manifestation of this prayer even before it was spoken or read, we simply let it go, allowing it to be.

And so it is.
