MINISTER'S MESSAGE

Beloved Community,

In the wake of last weekend's horrific murders in Pittsburgh, Kentucky and North Carolina, Rabbi Dan Fink is organizing a community event on Sunday afternoon at the Anne Frank Memorial at 4 pm. This will be a time to come together across ethnic and religious lines to proclaim "no" to hateful violence against  persons of color, immigrants, Muslims, Jews, LGBTQ people and others. It will be a time to honor those who have died...and stand strong against the kind of hateful rhetoric that is fueling such atrocities.

Please join me and your CSL Spiritual Family on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Anne Frank Memorial.

A Prayer for our times
from our Jewish family:

Do not be daunted
by the enormity
of the world's grief.
Do justly now.
Love mercy, now.
Walk humbly, now.
You are not obligated
to complete the work,
but neither are you free
to abandon it.

Prayer of the Week
“All of creation is a song of praise to God”
Hildegard of Bingen

The beautiful colors of fall are singing! Glorious reds, bright yellows and deep orange-all reflecting the beauty in diversity, the glory of change-even in the death of this year’s leaves, there is beauty. The everlasting creative Source is evident in every phase of life, and most especially in the bounty of the harvest just completed. Life energy, powerful, creative and everlasting vibrates throughout creation.

This same Source, Creator of all things seen and unseen, exists in the core of our beings. We are each divine manifestations of Spirit, expressing as individual lights of consciousness in the vast universe. Never separate, never alone.

Knowing we are one with our Divine Source, let us affirm a revolution of love-in our homes, cities, and nations. Let us affirm that peace is here and now present. Let us affirm an awakening of unity in all people.

Joyously giving thanks and gratitude for the truth of our word spoken, we release it into the law, knowing it is done!

And so it is.
