Changes to City utility rates take effect on January 1, 2025

After extensive consideration of the 2024 Utility Rate Study, the Leavenworth City Council voted to move forward with the recommended updates to the City's utility rate structure. Effective January 1, 2025, commercial and residential utility rates will increase. The updated utility rate structure is designed to minimize the impact on customers while balancing rising operations costs, funding necessary capital improvements, and encouraging conservation.

Letters of interest are being accepted for an open position on the Planning Commission

The City of Leavenworth is seeking volunteers to apply for Position No. 1 on the Planning Commission, a citizen advisory board, beginning in February 2025.

The position will serve the remainder of a four-year term (ending April 2026). The Planning Commission meets at 7 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall on the first Wednesday of each month. Regular meetings typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, though they may extend longer due to specific topics.
