Got yard waste?

Thursday, May 1, 8 and 15

Curbside collection for residential yard waste is scheduled for the first three Thursdays in May (1, 8, and 15). You can set out a total of four bags and/or 4′ bound bundles each week, and the City will swing by and collect them for you. Bags and/or bundles should be placed on the curb by 6 AM. each Thursday morning.

 

Important Reminders:

>> Yard waste must be curbside by 6 AM on collection days.

>> Maximum of 4 bags or bundles per week; can be a combination of bags and bundles NOT to exceed 4 in total. (example: 2 bags + 2 bundles = 4 total OR 3 bags + 1 bundle = 4 total)

>> Each recyclable paper bag should NOT exceed 35 pounds.

 

NO furniture, appliances, dirt, rocks, sod, and/or construction debris will be picked up.

The DSHS Mobile Office is coming to Leavenworth!

Staff from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services will be on hand to help you apply for food, cash, and medical benefits.


You can also drop off paperwork, complete a review, make changes to an existing case, or request an EBT card.

YOU'RE INVITED: Release Party at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery

You are invited to the inaugural Salmon Release Party at Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, Friday April 18, 2-6 PM.


This event celebrates the release of their juvenile salmon into Icicle Creek and encourages the community to partake in the process. Participants will earn passport stamps by engaging in activities led by local organizations. Once your stamp book is full, you will bring it to the salmon release station where you will get your very own smolt to name and release into Icicle Creek.

Are you trying to figure out how to raise a family and are in need of childcare?

The Upper Valley Early Learning Coalition and community sponsor, Maggie R., invite you to an Early Learning Fair on April 29th to showcase programs in the Upper Valley, community resources, and connection points for families with young children.


Stop by the Osborn playground between 4 - 6 PM and get to know childcare options, resources (incl. resources for families with children with disabilities), healthcare providers, and meet others in the same stage of life.


There will be free snacks, activities, and, of course, the playground!
