To increase public safety, temporary parking restrictions will go into effect on select city roadways in Leavenworth
The City of Leavenworth, Chelan County Fire District #3, Cascade Medical, Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, and Chelan County Emergency Management have collaborated to identify and designate emergency response routes in preparation for the upcoming Village of Lights: Christmastown festival occurring from November 29 through December 28, 2024, in downtown Leavenworth.
The anticipated increase in traffic flows and associated parking congestion along narrow roadways could potentially decrease emergency services response times in the Leavenworth area. To enhance public safety and ensure clear routes for emergency vehicles, temporary parking restrictions will be enforced on the following roadways:
No Parking on Both Sides:
- Pine St (Fir St to Ski Hill Dr)
- Ski Hill Dr (Evans St to Pine St)
- Evans St (Ski Hill Dr to Hwy 2)
- Commercial St (Division St to 14th St)
These temporary parking restrictions will be in place on the following days:
- Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1, 2024,
- Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8, 2024,
- Friday, December 13 through Sunday, December 15, 2024,
- Friday, December 20 through Sunday, December 22, 2024, and
- Friday, December 27 through Sunday, December 29, 2024.
No Left Turn:
- North Rd (westbound) onto Chumstick Hwy
This temporary turn restriction will be in place on the following days:
- Friday, November 29, 2024 through Saturday, November 30, 2024,
- Saturday, December 7, 2024,
- Saturday, December 14, 2024,
- Saturday, December 21, 2024, and
- Saturday, December 28, 2024.
A map is available online. Please be advised that parking restrictions are subject to change. Existing parking restrictions along city roadways remain in effect. All parking restrictions will be strictly enforced. Vehicles in violation of parking restrictions will be towed at the owner’s expense. Violators may be subject to fines.
These additional parking restrictions are crucial for ensuring first responders have quick access during emergencies. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. For questions, please email hello@cityofleavenworth.com or call the City of Leavenworth at (509) 548-5275.

Glacier Lot is open for parking!
It was the perfect day for a ribbon cutting and we are thrilled to announce the reopening of the improved Glacier Parking Lot! With 103 stalls total, including RV, ADA, and EV charging stalls, enjoy the benefits of parking here for $1 less per hour than the downtown parking lots.
A huge THANK YOU to every who attended the short-and-sweet ceremony and a shout out to our incredible project partners for making this possible:
- Gray and Osborne (design engineer)
- KRCI (contractor)
- Link Transit (partner)
- Argonaut and Syndicate Smith (neighbors)
- City Council, City staff, and members of the Parking Advisory Committee (team members)
Couple of quick punch list items:
>> The new bathroom facility is still under construction but will be available soon!
>> The light poles for the parking lights are on their way. In the meantime, we have temporary lights powered by generators that will be illuminating the lot from dusk till dawn.

Titus Road to close for construction on November 18
Beginning Monday (11/18), a road closure begins on Titus Road, near Hilltop Road. The closure could last through Friday, Nov. 22.
Alternative routes around the work zone are available via Pine Street, Detillion Road and Ski Hill Road.
A contractor will be installing stormwater pipes across the road at the location in red. Chelan County is allowing the contractor to close the road so the project can be done quickly. The County is hopeful that the project will not take the full five days.
