Welcome to Front Door...online church from Key Ministry. Here's what we have in store during the week of June 1st:

This week's online worship services are scheduled as follows (all times Eastern):

Sunday, June 1: 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM
Monday, June 2: 9:00 PM
Wednesday, June 4: 9:00 PM
Thursday, June 5: 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM

Our  featured speaker this week is Chris Emmitt. Our main worship service at each hour will feature Chris' most recent message from his series looking at the First Century church, Roots. This week's featured message looks at the first scandal that took place in the early church...and what we can learn from it. Need to get caught up in the series? No problem...Following the completion of the main service, we'll be running "mini-messages" from Chris on We or Me...a look at community in the early church (Sunday through Thursday at 8:45 PM Eastern) and Chris continues his journey through the early church and challenges to consider the two sides of confrontation of Christianity at 9:45 Eastern this Sunday through Thursday.

Want to be an online worship host?

Hosts greet and welcome guests to our scheduled, online church services. They facilitate conversations in the online chat window during the services, handle private chat conversations (when necessary), deal with any inappropriate comments, refer sensitive situations to appropriate experts and forward information to guests as requested.  Hosts follow up with guests during the week who make specific prayer requests and help connect guests to resources available through Key Ministry, other like-minded ministry organizations or churches in the guest's home region. Hosts are responsible for cultivating a sense of Christian community among those regularly connecting online during their assigned worship hour(s).

Interested? We have a Google Hangout scheduled with Nils Smith this Thursday at 9:00 PM Eastern/8:00 PM Eastern. If you're interested...or just curious-e-mail Steve Grcevich (steve@keyministry.org) for an invite to the hangout.

Prayer requests...

Ann Holmes (our Monday evening worship host) would appreciate prayer for her six year old nephew (Matthew). Matthew had a biopsy of a brain mass this past Friday in an Atlanta hospital...his family is scheduled to learn the results this coming Tuesday and discuss treatment options with the doctors.

The husband of a dear friend of Key Ministry was found to have an 'atypical mass/growth' on his spine...closer to C5 vertebrae following an episode of severe arm pain accompanied by numbness, tingling and weakness this past week. The doc was calmly insistent that he be seen by a neurosurgeon for further testing/evaluation...this Monday or Tuesday. Pray that our friend and her husband will experience "the peace that surpasses all understanding," confidence and courage in the weeks ahead.

Praise Reports...

Key Ministry is currently serving a Christian-run summer camp in Pennsylvania seeking to develop a day program for kids with autism spectrum disorders and a coalition of churches in greater Cleveland planning a prom for teens and adults with intellectual disabilities. We also began a discussion this past week with a leader interested in developing online worship/community for kids and adults with Asperger's Disorder. Doors are opening!
