Hello Thursday People!

Pastor Tim successfully underwent knee replacement surgery on Monday. He is at home recuperating and doing well. Pastor Tim is anxious to get back to the office and be in the pulpit preaching next week!

He wanted me to remind you that his Sermon Series, “Garments of Praise"

resumes on the second Sunday in October and will continue through the end of the month.

Garments of Grace Sermon Series

I had planned to begin preaching through the Gospel of John in October, but God changed that plan and gave me my next series of messages beginning on October 9th -- "GARMENTS OF PRAISE." This series of messages will be based on Isaiah 61:32. I will explain more later!

Don't forget to download the Church Center App to your cell phone.  You will have access to the church directory, church activity     sign-ups, the church calendar, giving through the app and more!

**Choose the personal information that you would like to share or not share in the directory.**

Please check your information on a regular basis to keep the office updated on current contact information including cell phone and alternative phone numbers and addresses.  Remember to add your email addresses and date of birth!  These are all important facts about you that helps our ministry staff to connect with you and your family.

It is time to start praying about OCC, fill your boxes with love and share the gospel around the world! The shoeboxes are available for you to pick up in the Vestibule, starting October 2nd, packing ideas, instructions and labels are located inside the box. Please pray, fill your box and bring it back to the church by November 20th. Remember the Mission Leadership Team will purchase The Greatest Journey a 12 week discipleship study, in their native language for every shoe box returned. Our church goal is 100 shoeboxes!

It's Apple Pickin' Time!

The Good Times Club will be on the road again for their annual fall trip to Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge Georgia for apple picking and lunch at Pat's Kountry Kitchen in Mc Caysville, GA on Thursday, October 20th.

The bus will be leaving the church at 9:30 am.  Space is limited. See Leigh Trull for more details.

The GracePointe Worship Choir is joining with the FBC Woodstock Choir, Brooklyn Tab Singers, Taranda Greene, and Jim Cymbala to share a Night of Worship Friday, September 30, at 7pm at FBC Woodstock. Admission is free, and YOU ARE INVITED! Bring your friends and family for a very special evening of worship!

UPDATE! We will run a bus from GracePointe to Woodstock, if you would like to ride. We are limited to 15 passengers, so email Mike today if you would like to ride...[email protected] .

If you fit in the 20s-30s age group, or if you have a family member of friend who does, please invite them to join us Sunday morning at 9:30 am, Room 242.

GracePointe Kidz and Student Ministries

are collecting bags of individually wrapped candy for their Trunk or Treat Outreach. Candy may be dropped off at the Connection Desk on Sunday or in the GracePointe office.

There will be sign up sheets at the Connection Desk if you would like to participate by having your vehicle trunk decorated on the night of the event or if you would like to participate in the Chili Cook Off.

We have received a whole lot of candy!

But if we have the turn out that we are praying for, we need much more! We also need trunks and chilis!

We have quite a few members battling health issues at that present time. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Please keep Jean Alexander in your prayers as she undergoes heart surgery on Friday, September 30th to repair two heart valves.

Please pray for our friends and family that will be impacted by Hurricane Ian in Florida and south Georgia this weekend.
