Parking Lot
Lamar Middle School is in the process of repairs and maintenance on their buildings During this process, some of the Saint John's parking spaces are housing construction materials.

This Sunday please consider carpooling, ridesharing, or taking public transportation to alleviate any stress of finding a parking spot.

For future Sundays during construction, Lamar Middle School has graciously offered to allow us to park on the field. Further information to come.

Please make sure not to park at 5906 Wynona where our Foundation for the Homeless guests are living.

Thank you for your Hope Food Pantry Offering!

This past Sunday during worship so many of you brought gifts for Hope Food Pantry. Many of our neighbors' tables will be filled this season with your offering, with over 900 items collected.
Thank you, church.

If you would still like to give, you can bring non-perishable items to the Hope shelf outside the church office, or you can donate funds by visiting Hope Food Pantry online here.

A Thanksgiving gift to the church is an opportunity to give thanks for the abundant gifts we receive in community together.

One of the most wonderful shopping experiences is just around the corner! No, we're not talking about Black Friday - we're talking about the Gifts of Hope Alternative Gift Market.
In ten short days, the market will open, and you can do your holiday shopping in a way that helps our community and beyond.

A new addition this year is our Artisan's Corner. Select local artisans will have booths filled with unique gifts, including handmade soaps, table linens, and art.

And as always, we will have our Bake Shop, fair trade vendors, and many other ways to get gifts that give twice this year.
From the Saint John’s Refugee Team

As we approach the Christmas season, the Saint John’s Refugee Assistance Team is gearing up to help our latest refugee family celebrate their first holiday season in Austin. The family of seven from the Democratic Republic of the Congo will receive gifts of clothing and other items on their lists.

Those wishing to make donations can contribute to Saint John’s with funds designated for the refugee assistance fund. Bicycles in working condition are needed and anyone wishing to donate one should contact Penny Smith-Kerker at [email protected] .

The team also wants to share the wonderful news from the Syrian family they assisted in the fall of 2016 --- that family’s father recently established his own business and they will welcome their second child in January!

Many thanks to the entire Saint John’s congregation for your continued support of this mission.
