A WORD FROM THE RECTOR
Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Last Sunday, there were many who asked for prayer at our Healing Services. The worship at both services was beautiful, and the presence of God's Spirit was evident. Last Thursday, we had a special confirmation/reception service for our Youth Group and our Youngish Adults with Bishop Mark Zimmerman. Thank you Fr. Travis and our youth leaders, Kristie and Adam, for all of your hard work!

The first Sunday after Pentecost is called Trinity Sunday. The Trinity is not primarily a doctrine in the sense of some intellectual speculation about God. No, the doctrine of the Trinity is merely a way of explaining what we (Christians) believe about God's nature. Please note that I did not say, "explain the Trinity." That would be impossible. What we believe is based on God's revelation of Himself through His Son, Jesus. The most basic creed in the Hebrew Bible is, "God is One." Yet, Jesus claimed to be one with the Father and the Spirit in such a way that it was clear that they are three persons, within the unity of God's own Being. God is, in himself, a divine community of persons, relating to one another in perfect love. This is the only way Jesus' words can be interpreted, which is why writers of the New Testament were able to write so clearly and eloquently about the eternal Father, Son and Spirit.

Sunday School/Kid's Connection Director
We are now really stepping up our search for a new Sunday School/Kid's Connection Director. We will be placing an ad on our Facebook page, and ask that you share it. Please continue to pray, and to tell others about this wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord at St. Clement's. Please email my assistant, Irene, at irene@stclements.com  if you are interested.
