Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life: Grant us so perfectly to know your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly follow his steps in the way that leads to eternal life; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Next year is the 150th Anniversary of the Church of St. Clement, and we are planning the biggest celebration in...150 years! Seriously, we are beginning to work on events that will go all year long, including an Art Show (like we did at our 140th Anniversary), a special service with former rectors and associates, sermons, articles and events that highlight our history, etc.
St. Clements truly has an amazing history. If you have not had the chance to read Melanie Wayne's
Whose House We Are
, there are copies available at the church for purchase, or to borrow from the Library, or you can download it as an electronic book from Amazon. I recommend it highly!
Border Fellows Lunch/Reception
Please join us in the Mayfield Room after the 10:45 a.m. service, on Sunday, May 26th, for a lunch/reception for the Border Fellows and their families. You may RSVP down below.
Youngish Adults/Youth Confirmation Service
We will be having a special dinner and confirmation service for those who have attended the Anglicanism 101 class on Thursdays, or the confirmation teachings at Youth Group. It will be on Thursday, June 6th at 6 p.m. Friends and family are welcome!
Sunday School/Kid's Connection Director
We are taking applications for the Sunday School/Kids Connection Director position. This is a critical position for us and so please pray for the right person to come forward. Please email my assistant, Irene, at
if you are interested.
Blanca Castillo, our Border Fellow, will be working through June, and then we will need a person to take over the monthly editing and mailing of the Anchor, our newsletter. Please contact Irene Taylor if you have the skills to do this and are interested.
Great News! We have all the permits to begin work on our new Lift! We are also very grateful for a $20,000 grant from the McKee Foundation. Although we do not have a final price, we think that it will be between $65,000-$70,000. If you would like to donate, you may do so by check or online giving. Thank you for helping us to reach our goal of providing an easier means upstairs for those who find it challenging.
May the Risen Lord Jesus fill you with His abundant life.
