4-5th grade Family Project
Sorting Blessing bags in the Parish Hall
On Feb. 16th, parents of the 4-5th grade class are invited with the class to help sort Blessing bags that we will share with our church family to give to our local homeless neighbors. After a discussion one morning during Sunday school class last fall, the class was inspired to take action and get this project up and running again! Once we have sorted and taken inventory of the supplies we have, the class will gather more supplies as needed. Stay tuned for a date in the near future on which we prepare the bags to ready them for our church family to take for sharing.
Parent Connection
Take a moment this Sunday, to visit with your child's Sunday School teacher. Ask them what they enjoy about teaching your children. You might get a sense of how teaching is a mutual blessing between the children and teachers.

In his book Teaching Godly Play, Jerome W. Berryman says, " The invitation to come and play is based on what Jesus said about welcoming children and becoming like them. This is a way to know God and to enter God's Kingdom. one of the most interesting things about accepting this invitation is that the memories of your own childhood will become more available to you as you work with children." - p. 15
