God Is Calling Us To A Closer Relationship With Jesus
A Guide for our Journey
Michael Redpath
This past Saturday our Vestry met with the newly formed Discernment Committee and our new Discernment Consultant, Michael Redpath. Discernment is seeking the heart of God and the will of the parish. We do not know where this will lead us, but this Sunday's Gospel was about Anna and Simeon who trusted God with the totality of their beings. We trust God for the future of St. Martin's as well.

The members of the Discernment Committee are:
Chris Abraham
Jim Agosto - Chair
Nate Emndick
Annmarie Galbreath
Randy Jandak
Christine Kellam
Judy Laidlaw
Philip Muniz
Kathy Picasio

Please prayer for these persons every day as they work on our behalf and on behalf of the Church of God in this place.

Ten Reasons I Love Being an Episcopalian

Last Sunday we talked about one of the real delights of being a Christian by way of the Episcopal path to God, namely, things of beauty. We discussed Anglican architecture, poetry, music, literature. and even embroidery.

We considered that part of what it means to be created in the image of God is to join in the work of creation, by making new and wonderful things through which we can experience the holy and give thanks.

This coming Sunday we will talk about the influence of Celtic and Benedictine spirituality as well as what longitude and latitude points have to do with our faith in God.

Join us at 9:30 in the meeting room and tell us why you love being an Episcopalian, too!
Connect with One Another
St. Martin's has an easy to use app for your phone that can help you connect with anyone in the parish.C Download the Instant Church Directory App and sign in as a St. Martin's Bridgewater member. If you need help, call the parish office at 908-526-1350 and we'll help you get started. Also, we encourage everyone to upload a picture of yourself or your family so that it makes it easier for us to get to know one another.

COMING SOON!

Here are just a couple of things coming soon at St. Martin's -

Learn about the program after the 10:30 service on February 23.

* Confirmation - Bishop Stokes will be coming to St. Martin's some time this Spring
to confirm teens and adults or receive persons from other faith traditions. If you
are not an Episcopalian, but would like to become one, this is for you! Please email
Fr. Mulder at: [email protected].

And finally....

As we move into this new phase of seeking a new rector, it is important that our website present a realistic picture of who and how we are, and what goes on here. This is for our benefit as well as anyone who may be considering applying to share in ministry with us. So we are asking you whenever you have an event that will be meeting at the church or off-site, please notify the parish office at [email protected] so that the event can be posted on our parish calendar. Our hope is that more and more we will get used to checking to see how active St. Martin's is by looking at our website and especially the calendar. Thanks to all of you for helping to make this happen.
