Coffee Time is back! First introduced in 2022, this summer sermon series returns with a fresh lineup of voices from the Old Testament. You’re invited to pull up a chair and share a cup of coffee with some of Scripture’s most memorable people. From warriors and kings to prophets and ordinary people called by God, each week explores a different biblical figure’s story, struggles, victories, and faith. Join us this summer as we revisit the concept with brand new conversations and timeless truths that still speak into our lives today.
This week, we'll pull up a chair with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—three young men who refused to compromise their faith, even when it meant facing a fiery furnace. Their story is a powerful reminder that standing for God isn't always easy, but He is faithful to stand with us in the midst of every trial. In a world that constantly pressures us to conform, their example challenges us to remain faithful, trust God's sovereignty, and boldly stand for what we believe.
Want to read Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego’s story? Check out Daniel 3.
If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up. - Daniel 3:17-18, NLT
