So far at Zoo Camp!
We're so excited to have your camper join us for Zoo Camp this week! Campers experience all kinds of fun, educational and engaging activities during their time at Zoo Camp. Check out some of what campers have done so far this week!
4-5 Year Old's in Group A
This group has learned about tortoises, tree kangaroos and red pandas from our Zookeepers. They’ve created many fun crafts including a handprint giraffe and red panda mask. This group also watched a cheetah run at the Cheetah Chase Theater! Other activities include feeding the giraffe, tree bark rubbings, feeding the alpacas and more!
4-5 Year Old's in Group B
This group has learned about armadillos, red pandas, and tortoises from our Zookeepers, including the experience of touching the hard shell of an armadillo. They’ve created many fun crafts including tree bark rubbings and red panda masks. This group also watched a cheetah run at the Cheetah Chase Theater! Other activities include feeding the giraffe, visiting the butterfly pavilion for an up-close encounter with butterflies, riding the train and more!
6-7 Year Old's in Group C
This group has learned about red pandas, kookaburras, and tree kangaroos from our Zookeepers. They’ve created many fun crafts including a feathered emu and a paper chain snake. This group also watched a cheetah run at the Cheetah Chase Theater! Other activities include feeding the giraffe, visiting the butterfly pavilion for an up-close encounter with butterflies, feeding the alpacas, and more!
6-7 Year Old's in Group D
This group has learned about kookaburras, tigers, and camels from our Zookeepers! They’ve created many fun crafts including a clothespin camel and a feathered emu. This group also watched a cheetah run at the Cheetah Chase Theater! Other activities include feeding the giraffe, visiting the butterfly pavilion for an up-close encounter with butterflies, feeding the camels, and more!
8-9 Year Old's in Group E
This group has learned about Sumatran tigers, armadillos, and penguins from our Zookeepers, including the experience of feeding a penguin. They’ve created many fun crafts including an accordion armadillo and hatching penguin puppet. Other activities include feeding the giraffe, feeding the alpacas, a nest construction activity, playing in the play stream and more!
8-9 Year Old's in Group F
This group has learned about macaws, penguins and camels from our Zookeepers, including the experience of feeding a penguin. They’ve created many fun crafts including a hatching penguin puppet and paper plate alpaca. Other activities include feeding the giraffes and alpacas, visiting the butterfly pavilion for an up-close encounter with butterflies, creating cyanotype sun prints and more!
10-12 Year Old's
This group has learned about penguins, macaws and camels from our Zookeepers, including the experience of feeding the penguins. They’ve created many fun crafts including bear claws and pet enrichment! This group also watched a cheetah run at the Cheetah Chase Theater! Other activities include feeding the giraffe and camels, visiting the butterfly pavilion for an up-close encounter with butterflies, creating cyanotype sun prints and more!
