And now...

Dear friends and members of Amity,

This Sunday we will continue through Holy Week with a Good Friday service at 6 pm. On Sunday, we will have Easter Worship at our normal 10 am time, followed by a time of gathering and light refreshments afterward. I hope you will stay and celebrate with your faith community.

As we continue our series, What We Believe, we will consider the final lines of the Apostles' Creed, which state that we believe in "the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting." What an appropriate way to conclude our Lenten series reflection. (I continue to remind us that the Creed is best used as a guide to help us think about key elements of the historical faith, not as a litmus test to decide who the "real" Christians are.)

We are Easter people. By faith, no matter how strong or weak that faith is, we receive the blessing of the life and the teaching of Jesus Christ. Even more so we reflect on Jesus giving his life for us; a demonstration which showed God would do anything for us out of the infinite depth of his love.

See you in worship,

Pastor Brian Thie
