fireworksSay "No" to Fireworks
Please be safe this holiday

The Central County Fire Department reminds you that the possession and discharge of any fireworks, including fireworks that claim to be "safe and sane", is illegal in the Town of Hillsborough and Cities of Burlingame and Millbrae (Municipal Codes 9.88.035, 10.48.010, 9.30.210).  In addition to being illegal, they can be very dangerous to people and property.  Any violators of the City ordinances listed above will be charged with a misdemeanor offense.

For a fun and safe experience, Fourth of July firework shows should be enjoyed at public displays, presented by trained professionals. Within San Mateo County, the Cities of Foster City and Redwood City both host public firework shows. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring our nation's holiday is celebrated safely!

For more information, please call the Central County Fire Department at (650) 558-7600.
