Burlingame's New Community Center
The City wants to hear from you on conceptual design

On March 19th, the Parks & Recreation Commission will kick off the first of a series of nine public outreach sessions regarding the goals and design for a new community center. The project management and design teams will lead open discussion and prioritization exercises. Collected feedback and comments from the public will help guide project development.

Transportation Authority Seeks Volunteers
Deadline to submit applications is April 3rd

The San Mateo County Transportation Authority is seeking five volunteers for its Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC acts in an advisory capacity to the Transportation Authority's Board of Directors, providing valuable input on the funds collected by Measure A and the projects and programs in the Transportation Expenditure Plan. Developing a Greener Community
Burlingame welcomes Sustainability Coordinator

One of the City Council's five primary goals for Burlingame is to promote more environmentally sustainable policies and outcomes.  To help achieve this goal, the City hired Sustainability Coordinator, Sigalle Michael, last December. Ms. Michael will be working on a range of initiatives to make Burlingame a more sustainable community including a climate action plan, establishing Burlingame as a green and clean business mecca and enhancing the City's recycling efforts.  Please contact her at smichael@burlingame.org with any questions, suggestions, and inspirations you may have around sustainability for the City.  DevelopingGreener

Free Tour of GreenCitizen
Saturday, March 14th

In the first of six programs presented by the Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame, James, Kao, founder and CEO of GreenCitizen, a sustainable electronics recycling company, will give free 45-minute tours of the its Burlingame Headquarters on March 14 from 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The other five programs will be held at the Lane Community Room.
