Calling All Businesses
California Competes Tax Credit applications due January 25

The Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development is currently accepting applications for businesses interested in applying for the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC). The CCTC is an income tax credit available to businesses that  want to come to California or stay and grow in California.

Start Smart - Starting a Business Workshop
January 14, 21, 28 and February 4 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Burlingame Public Library, upper level meeting room

Funded by the Burlingame Library Foundation and Phase2Careers, this interactive workshop will help participants develop their vision, mission, objectives, strategies and plans.  It will also help in developing an entrepreneurial mindset.  Each class is part of a four week series.  Participants are expected to attend all four classes.   Register or click here to learn more about Phase2Careers.

Participate in the 17th Annual San Mateo County MLK, Jr. Day Celebration at 8:30 a.m. then

Sea Level Rise Open House
Saturday, January 30 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Genentech Conference Center, Bldg 31, Room 21-1A/B, 1531 Grandview Dr., South San Francisco

Join San Mateo County's Office of Sustainability for a family-friendly Open House to learn about sea level rise and what San Mateo County is doing about it. The Open House will feature a number of interactive information stations, experts on hand to answer questions, light snacks, and a free raffle with eco-friendly prizes.
