Sterling Creatives is a cooperative comprised of member artists lovingly creating their work to share with the world. Member/owners include Leslie Sager, who is a crochet, jewelry and craft artist, Deb Montgomery a multimedia artist.
Erin Butler who does wood turning, repurposed art and painting. Ashley Ball is our resident ceramist. Sara Bledsoe offers drawing and painting works in various mediums. Denise Sunderman creates jewelry, bird feeders and dyed silks.
Watercolor works and stained-glass pieces are creations by Pete Youngers. Jane DeSanti is a paper artist and designer. Michael Hopsicker and Kelly Anfosso are resident photographers. Angie Norell is an oil painter.
Bex Wainwright works in leather bookbinding and covers and Sallie Boden is our new fabric artist.
Sterling Creatives hosts First Friday events each month, transforming their gallery to showcase a featured artist. Watch for their First Friday activities on Facebook or send them an email to be added to their list to receive their First Friday flyers and special events.
They also host various workshops designed to support community mental health. They believe in community involvement and have invited youth and young at heart (70+) to submit their art to their community corner.
Along with many other community groups and members, Sterling Creatives was instrumental in helping Sterling get its designation as a Creative District.
The artists have become a family of ambassadors who welcome and inform visitors not only about art, but also about the community itself. Consequently, the Gallery has become a connecting point for visitors to the larger community.
The cooperative has also turned into the spot to shop for unique gift items!
