ALSCO (Linen and Uniform Rental) is the Logan County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Week. Receiving the honor are were Cecil Wilson and Andy Frey.

...The linen supply industry did not yet exist in 1889 when George A. Steiner, at the age of 15, started his own part-time towel delivery service in Lincoln, Neb.
...He bought the delivery route of Lincoln Steam Laundry for $50.80. In those days it was customary for a business to wring a wet towel through a wooden roller and hang it to dry for the next use; A change of linen was a rare luxury.
...The business was incorporated in 1912 under the original name American Linen. From its incarnation as a towel delivery service, American Linen quickly became a pioneer in the commercial and industrial laundry businesses, or textile services.
.....Still true to its original motto, "It pays to keep clean," Steiner remains a third generation, family-owned private company with some 70 facilities around the world. Bob and Kevin Steiner are the fifth generation owners. In 2000 Richard Steiner, Sr., stepped down, yielding control of Steiner to his two sons, Robert and Kevin.
...George A. Steiner moved the business to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1895. By 1896 a second branch of the business was established in Minneapolis, Minn. The company was incorporated in 1912 under the name American Linen. Steiner patents the first continuous roll towel cabinet in 1918 to replace the condemned public roll towel. Minneapolis Linen Supply Co. was established in 1935 to manufacture uniforms.
...All individual American Linen companies are consolidated under the American Linen Supply Company by 1948. The company went under many names changes: Steiner American Corporation in 1960, renamed Steiner Corporation in 1976, the U.S. branches of Steiner Corporation in 1988 revert to the original name, American Linen Supply, and in 2002 Alsco launches an international rebranding effort whereby American Linen, American Industrial, American Cleanroom Garments, and Servitex are all combined under the name Alsco.
...At Alsco, they take food processing safety seriously when it comes to your uniforms and linens. Not only are they committed to providing the highest quality food processing uniforms and service to their customers, they are also committed to safety and cleanliness at all times in their processes and operations.
...From washing to delivery, they go the extra mile to ensure you always have clean and safe uniforms and linens. Alsco provides a HACCP-conscious uniform program, including a three-tier sanitation process to ensure our high quality product meets strict hygienically clean standards.
...If you have linen and rental needs contact Alsco Uniforms at 229 S Front St. in Sterling, 80751, Main office – Alsco Uniforms 1850 S Acoma St., Denver CO 80223, call them at 303-722-4661 or visit them at alsco.com.

Identity Fraud Repair Kit
Identity theft is one of the fastest-growing crimes in America, impacting millions of households each year. The threat is more pervasive, and the scams are more sophisticated than ever before. Identity thieves only need a few data points—like those found in widespread data breaches - and they can infiltrate your personal financial life, creating chaos. The damage can be life-altering. ........................Identity Fraud Kit
At-Home Testing Expands
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) announced today the expansion of the Binax At-Home rapid testing program to food services employees around the state. This expansion to food services workers builds on the program’s February launch for use by PK-12 grade teachers, school administrators, early childhood educators, and other student-facing staff in Colorado schools. The Binax At-Home program allows eligible individuals to order free testing kits to their homes and test themselves for COVID-19 under the guidance of a tele-health proctor.

Resources For Small Businesses
Housing and Utilities Assistance
During this year’s special session, we collaborated with bipartisan legislators in the General Assembly to allocate an additional $54 million in housing assistance through the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA). For more information on DOLA’s housing programs and to access support for your rent or mortgage, visit their website. We also allocated $5 million to Energy Outreach Colorado to help Coloradans with utility assistance. Visit their website for more information on how to access those funds. You can also find more information on other programs serving our state, such as County Housing Authorities, the Colorado Low Income Energy Assistance, and more.

Food Assistance
During this pandemic, 1 in 3 Coloradans aren’t sure where their next meal is coming from. I’m proud that during the special session earlier this year we awarded $5 million to the Food Pantry Assistance Program in the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS). If you’re experiencing food insecurity, learn more about food assistance programs from the CDHS, Food Bank of the Rockies, and others serving the people of Colorado. Organizations looking to help their communities address hunger and food access issues, can apply for assistance with the Emergency Hunger Relief Fund

Health Care Resources
This pandemic has made accessing and affording health care even more difficult for many Colorado families. If you’re looking for help finding physical or mental health resources, or need assistance paying health care bills, find resources here including Connect for Health Colorado and Salud Family Health Centers and more.

Small Business Assistance
The Office of Economic Development and International Trade COVID-19 Business Resource Center offers multiple funding opportunities for businesses and nonprofits, including the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Express Bridge Loans.Small Business Hotline: (303) 860-5881.
