Medical Associates, P.C.

1405. S. 8th Ave., Suite 103 ............................... 970-522-3304
The Northeast Colorado Family Medicine Associates (NECFM) is the Logan County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Week. Receiving the honor are (front row left to right) Darci Muller, Amy Holman, Kelsey Hendrix, Dr. Tony Gerk, Brandie Kembel, Chanda Schmidt and (back row left to right) Courtney Martinez, Rachelle Maker- NP, Dr. Kyle Schwindt, Stacey Rhodes-PA, Jen Seifried, Megan Ringlein and Megan Eurich.

.....Dr. Curtis Clark opened Northeast Colorado Family Medicine Associates (NECFM) in 1977. Dr. Clark started the practice to provide full-scope primary care, including obstetrics, to Northeastern Colorado.
.....After two partners left early in the history of the clinic, Dr. Clark practiced solo for nearly 20 years until his daughter, Stacey Rhodes, PA-C, joined in 2003. Dr. Gerk joined in 2011, Rachelle Maker, FNP, in 2014 and Dr. Kyle Schwindt in 2020. Dr. Clark retired in 2019.
.....The practice is now owned by Tony Gerk, Stacey Rhodes and Rachelle Maker.
The practice has always been located in the Medical Arts Building near the Sterling hospital, allowing easy access to the hospital’s services to patients and office staff. NECFM was selected as the Medical Facility of the Year by Journal-Advocate and South Platte Sentinel readers in 2020.
.....Since it was established, NECFM has strived to provide comprehensive care to the whole family. From obstetrics and well child care to chronic disease management and preventative care, the office embodies the ideals of Family Medicine and primary care: state-of-the art, integrated, patient-centered care that strives to improve health, not only for our patients, but also the for health of our entire community.
.....Northeast Colorado Family Medicine Associates, P.C. can be reached at 1405. S. 8th Ave., Ste 103, Sterling, call 970-522-3304 and www.necofammed.com.

Resources For Small Businesses
Housing and Utilities Assistance
During this year’s special session, we collaborated with bipartisan legislators in the General Assembly to allocate an additional $54 million in housing assistance through the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA). For more information on DOLA’s housing programs and to access support for your rent or mortgage, visit their website. We also allocated $5 million to Energy Outreach Colorado to help Coloradans with utility assistance. Visit their website for more information on how to access those funds. You can also find more information on other programs serving our state, such as County Housing Authorities, the Colorado Low Income Energy Assistance, and more.

Food Assistance
During this pandemic, 1 in 3 Coloradans aren’t sure where their next meal is coming from. I’m proud that during the special session earlier this year we awarded $5 million to the Food Pantry Assistance Program in the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS). If you’re experiencing food insecurity, learn more about food assistance programs from the CDHS, Food Bank of the Rockies, and others serving the people of Colorado. Organizations looking to help their communities address hunger and food access issues, can apply for assistance with the Emergency Hunger Relief Fund

Health Care Resources
This pandemic has made accessing and affording health care even more difficult for many Colorado families. If you’re looking for help finding physical or mental health resources, or need assistance paying health care bills, find resources here including Connect for Health Colorado and Salud Family Health Centers and more.
