COVID UPDATES COLORADO

Roadmap For Return
To In-Person Learning

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis and a back-to school working group today detailed a roadmap for returning to in-person learning this spring.

Safer Winter Holidays
It’s important to think about the best ways to keep loved ones and communities safe during holiday celebrations. This year is an opportunity to reimagine what togetherness can look like. To help slow the alarming spread of COVID-19, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) advises Coloradans to only interact in-person with people from their household this holiday season. .

State COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution
The pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and Moderna have applied for an Emergency Use Authorization with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA authorized the Pfizer vaccine for emergency use and Colorado received the vaccine on Monday. The initial supply of vaccines will be very limited and will be distributed in a swift, fair, and efficient way............................................................Vaccine Information

'Five-Star Program'
CDPHE is sharing a checklist with counties of steps they can take if they are interested in setting up a business variance program known as the “5 star program.” Further details finalizing the parameters of the program, who is eligible, and what requirements businesses will have to follow will be released later this week, but this information will give interested cities or counties tools to begin their planning process. ...................................................................................................................Planning Process Can Begin

COVID Safety System For Business
The last thing anyone wants is to have to close their facility for a 14-day quarantine if an outbreak occurs. Further, if the proper steps are not taken to ensure that your facility is safe, you might be exposed to legal liability........................................................................................................................COVID Safety System
Shop Local Colorado Campaign
Shopping locally is one of the best ways to help Colorado’s economy during the pandemic. When consumers buy $100 locally, $70 stays in the local community. Shopping local increases employment, the buying power of local workers, tax revenue, and government funds for long-term investments like infrastructure and education. Shoppers also help the environment by reducing transport costs.
