Boys soccer wins over Eukarya

Our varsity and middle school boys soccer teams are off to a great start to the season!

Varsity boys won 3-1 and middle school school boys won 5-2 on Friday against Eukarya.

Submit your permission slips for secondary retreats

The middle school and high school students will be going on separate retreats next month. Students will spend their time getting to know one another, playing games, and being challenged from the Bible.

Middle school is set for a one-day retreat on Sept. 4 at Fellowship Bible Church Pavilion (408 Daniel Road; Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442).

High school students will have a 2-day retreat Sept. 3-4 at Timber Ridge Bible Camp in High View, WV.

Dr. Brian Hobbs emailed parents about the retreats. Please read his email carefully and complete the form by midnight on Aug. 26 so we can plan for this event.

Family looking for transportation assistance

The family of a new freshman are looking for a ride home for their daughter Mondays-Wednesdays. They live in Kearneysville.

Then join us for Falcon Spirit Night at our home soccer and volleyball games on Friday, Oct. 2! We encourage all students, families, and friends to wear their new Falcon gear and help us fill the stands with blue and gold as we cheer on the Falcons together and celebrate our seniors.

Orders will close at midnight on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Items will be distributed on Oct. 1.

Inclement Weather policy

In case of inclement weather, please be advised that we do not always follow the Berkeley County Schools' emergency closing schedule. Faith Christian Academy will always have its own announcement regarding school closings and delays.

In addition, a text message will be sent through FACTS. All parents will receive a text alert.

Any time the forecast is for inclement weather our primary goal is to make the very best decision for the safety of our students. We realize that our students come from a wide geographic area and that road conditions often vary greatly across the region. When inclement weather occurs, parents must use their best judgment in determining whether to bring children to school or pick them up early. When parents choose to keep their children home due to the weather, those absences will be excused with a note indicating the reason for the absence or tardy.

Sick Policy

In an effort to clear up the germs and viruses, we are asking that if your child experiences any of the following symptoms to please keep them home for the day. Symptoms include a Runny nose with yellow/green discharge, nausea/vomiting, sore throat, chills or fever, diarrhea, or any other conditions that might be contagious. A student should be fever-free for 24 hours (without medication) before returning to school.
