With the long battle against winter coming to an end, your supplies have been dwindling drastically, so your adventuring party decides to look for the nearest settlement. You succeed in your Knowledge check and remember that there's a thriving town not so far away where two rivers meet. You find and follow one of the rivers and arrive safely at the town.
The town itself is coated in dust and grime and dead leaves and the roads are pocked with deep holes. It appears that they've faced the same battles you have. But the inhabitants seem cheerful and welcoming and thankful for the return of the sun and the slow spring growth. A good many of them seem to be happily slurping a beverage that seems to be a mixture of sweet syrup and what looks like snow. An interesting choice, all things considered.
You ask around for directions to a marketplace where you can stock up and are directed to a small castle located near a graveyard. You glance at the sign board outside -- no time for ghosts and goblins until after your shopping excursion -- and head inside. The market is much bigger on the inside than the outside suggested and is filled with wonderous things.
You are greeted by the friendly shopkeep. "Hello and welcome! Is there anything that catches your eye?" There are, in fact, many things that catch your eye...
