Founded in 1965, Open Space STL is a nonprofit organization that works independently and collaboratively to conserve and sustain land, water and other natural resources throughout the St. Louis region. The Development and Communications Manager is a full time position responsible for supporting the Executive Director and the board of directors in meeting fundraising goals to sustain the operations and mission of Open Space STL. This position is responsible for planning and executing Special Events, Annual Appeal, Membership, Sponsorship and Grant Writing with an eye to strategic donor engagement and stewardship. The Development and Communications Manager will manage our donor database and maintain accurate donor records, including ensuring timely donor recognition and preparing reports for the Executive Director and board of directors. This position is also responsible for maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and donors and marketing Open Space STL to potential donors, partners and volunteers in order to grow our land acquisition portfolio and volunteer programs.
