Motor City Match Round 23 Applications are Open


Motor City Match Round 23 Applications are still open! This week’s virtual application information sessions will be held on March 16 from 6:30-7:30 and March 17 from 8-9 am. Motor City Match is designed to assist Detroit entrepreneurs at critical stages of their business development - from idea to open. Applications for Round 23 will be open through Sunday, April 2 at 11:59 p.m.

Childcare entrepreneurs can receive direct assistance applying for the Pre-Licensure and Start-Up Child Care Grants. Event participants will include Child Care Licensing Bureau, Wonderschool, City of Detroit, First Children’s Finance, Michigan Reconnect, MDHHS, Detroit Health Department, Great Start to Quality and more! Free, onsite mobile fingerprinting will be available by appointment only. Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation Vendor Application


The Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation (GRDC) is preparing for two spring small business support events to vendor at.

  • Spring Block Party: occurs mid-June, vendor fee TBD
  • Northwest Detroit Farmers' Market 2023: June 22 - October 12, 2023. Thursdays from 4-8 PM. Vendor fee: $20/week for vendors, $30/week for food trucks.

We are excited to announce that for the first time in Detroit, LGBTQ-Owned and Friendly Businesses have an opportunity to be spotlighted in an LGBTQ+ Business Crawl during the late spring or summer 2023. The LGBTQ+ Business Crawl will be organized in partnership with Detroit Means Business, the Detroit LGBT Chamber, Motor City Pride, and the City of Detroit LGBTQ+ and Friends Employee Resource Group. Please fill out this form to indicate your interest. Completing the form helps us understand business owners' commitment level as we continue to design the event, and it is not a commitment. More information to come as we design the event.  

COLOURS Spring Business Summit coming in April


Detroit LGBT Regional Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the COLOURS Spring Business Summit, Monday, April 17 from 10 AM-3 PM, Registration is FREE. Learn about the business landscape and contracting opportunities; including how to scale your businesses and the benefits of the LGBT Certification. Hear from local and high-profile speakers and influencers in the business, city and non-profit arenas who will present cutting-edge and thought-provoking topics focused on Supplier Diversity, the use of social media, small business marketing and professional services contracting.
