United Against Hate Week is just one week away! It's a call for local civic action to stop the hate and implicit biases that are a dangerous threat to the safety and civility of our neighborhoods, towns and cities. Redwood City stands #UnitedAgainstHate, and we hope you will too.
While we embrace this sentiment all year long, the official campaign runs from November 13-18 and we have a full slate of events planned to celebrate! Here are the first few events, click through to register or learn more:

Join us for a live film screening of this critically acclaimed documentary that focuses on six Muslim families in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

This workshop will provide the opportunity to build or deepen your awareness about what microaggressions are and how we commit them unknowingly during interactions with others.
WED NOV 16, 6:30pm
Use the Makerspace's Epilog Laser Cutter to cut and engrave a custom wooden bookmark celebrating tolerance and solidarity within our community. With special guest local poet Aileen Cassinetto.
WED NOV 16, 3pm
WHY is hosting this event to learn about the transgender experience and what can be done to serve the transgender community.
