OLG families and community are invited to participate in a free, virtual Ending the Silence presentation by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Seattle. This one hour presentation is for families to better understand mental illness. This presentation was cancelled in April due to presenter illness.
As a nation we are facing a youth mental health crisis. Families with kids of all ages are invited to this event as it is never too young to start an age-appropriate conversation around mental wellness, positive coping skills, and reducing the stigma around mental illness. This presentation will include statistics around youth mental health, how to identify the warning signs of illness or crisis, and how to talk to your child.
