If you have a prayer request, please contact the church office or place the name of the person on the prayer list located on the bulletin board in the breezeway. The name will stay on the list for 4 weeks. They may be re-added at the end of the 4 week period.

An update to Our Prayer List

Our prayer list is an important part of our church community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to hold one another in prayer. From time to time, it is helpful to update the list and begin anew. We would like to begin publishing the new list December 15, 2026.

If you would like a name included on our new prayer list, please sign up on the bulletin board in the breezeway, call the church office, or submit a prayer request through the newsletter.

Thank you for helping us keep our prayer list current as we continue to hold one another in prayer and care. .

All Saint' Day

Sunday, November 1, we will observe All Saints’ Day, a special time to remember and honor loved ones who have passed away.

Sign-up sheets will be available on the bulletin board for those who wish to submit names. There are two separate lists:

Those who have died between November 2025 and November 2026: These names will be read aloud during the church service.

Those who died prior to November 2025: These names will be printed in the Sunday bulletin.

Please add the names of your loved ones to the appropriate sign-up sheet so that we may remember them together on this special day.

Vestry Corner 10/21/2026

Welcome to November.

We had our Vestry Meeting this past Monday. That means we approved the October Meeting Minutes and they are posted on the small bulletin board in the breezeway hall. At the meeting we discussed changes to Grace's By-Laws. The last time they were changed was in 2013. We are going to update when we hold Vestry Meetings, 3rd Thursday to monthly, reduce the number of Vestry Members, 12 to 9, and some other minor clean ups. These will be formally presented and voted on at the Annual Meeting.

Speaking of Vestry Members, we are looking for one new Vestry member to serve 2027-2030. If you are interested, let a Vestry Member know.

Since it is November, it is time to start talking about Stewardship of Grace and how you can contribute your time, talent, and treasure to help Grace thrive.

The Vestry

Donate to the Claymont Community Market & Garden

Each year, the Market provides more than 2,000 food visits to over 500 households, helping about 1,200 adults and children meet their nutritional needs. Your support helps them continue this vital work.

Donations can be left in the Breezeway hall across from the rest rooms.

Community Bonds

Fr. Greg Wilson's video of October 25, 2026 reminded us that faith isn't about checking boxes or earning God's approval. It's about relationship—loving God and loving our neighbor as the foundation of everything. Jesus calls us not to a list of tasks, but to a way of being rooted in love. This week, we invite you to explore this theme through a five-day devotional that gently unpacks what it means to live from that place of grace. May it be a quiet companion as you walk through your days.

In Appreciation

We are grateful for the time, talent and treasure shared by:

  • Ramsey’s Farm for the fall decoration of the front entrance of the church.
