If you have a prayer request, please contact the church office or place the name of the person on the prayer list located on the bulletin board in the breezeway. The name will stay on the list for 4 weeks. They may be re-added at the end of the 4 week period.

An update to Our Prayer List

Our prayer list is an important part of our church community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to hold one another in prayer. From time to time, it is helpful to update the list and begin anew. We would like to begin publishing the new list December 15, 2026.

If you would like a name included on our new prayer list, please sign up on the bulletin board in the breezeway, call the church office, or submit a prayer request through the newsletter.

Thank you for helping us keep our prayer list current as we continue to hold one another in prayer and care. .

Vestry Corner 11/4/2026

At Vestry meetings, we discuss how we can better serve Grace and its parishioners, now and into the future. At this time of year we focus on Stewardship and the 2027 budget.

The word "pledge" has an if/then definition: an item or property given to someone else to guarantee that a debt will be paid or a task will be completed. We pledge at Scout meetings, at AA, and at the wedding altar. But for Grace’s purpose, a pledge is something stronger than a promise. It’s a commitment of time, talent, and treasure. What we are asking of you is to commit a specific, regularly scheduled amount of money to your church family. An increase of even 3% would be great.

Last Sunday, All Saint's Sunday, we had a beautiful service with the Baptism of baby Maggie. It was a joyful occasion with baby Maggie and her family, friends and congregation celebrating the baptism of a new member of the church.

The Vestry

Donate to the Claymont Community Market & Garden

Each year, the Market provides more than 2,000 food visits to over 500 households, helping about 1,200 adults and children meet their nutritional needs. Your support helps them continue this vital work.

Donations can be left in the Breezeway hall across from the rest rooms.

Sacraments: the Presence of God's Grace

Fr. Greg Wilson's video of November 1, 2026 celebrated a baptism and remembered the saints who have gone before us—two beautiful reminders that faith is a journey, not a destination. Baptism marks the beginning of a lifelong walk with God, one that we're never meant to make alone. The entire community promises to support and guide those who are baptized, and we're all called to walk alongside one another in faith. This week's devotionals explores what it means to live into our baptismal promises day by day, held by the love of God and the strength of community.
