Jewish-Muslim Dialogue taught by Robin Wald
featuring a visit to the Danbury Masjid
Sundays, January 7, 21, 28, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Curious and want to learn more about Islam? In this mini-course we will study the core teachings and beliefs of Islam. How are Judaism and Islam similar? How do they differ?

This mini-course will feature a visit to the Danbury Masjid on Sunday, January 21. We plan to depart from Bet Torah at 10:15 a.m. and return by 12:45 p.m. Parent driver volunteers needed. The trip will include a tour of the mosque, demonstration of Islamic prayer, and an open discussion with the imam and Muslim teens at the center.

Bet Torah Kadima and TLC Skate Away!
Sunday, January 7, 12:50 - 2:20 p.m.
Bet Torah teens in 6th-12th grade and any Jewish friends are invited to join us on the ice!

This event includes pizza, soda, skate rentals, and an hour on the ice with your Bet Torah friends. The event is $18 for paid Youth Group members and $25 for those who are not. (This event in the past has not included lunch, but will this year.) Bring your own ice skates for a $3 rebate on the event fee.
Teens Cook for the Emergency Shelter
Tuesday, January 9, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Bet Torah will be hosting 15-20 people who live locally, but cannot afford food and shelter through the winter from the Emergency Shelter Partnership all week, but Tuesday night is our teens' turn to take charge!

Families and older teens can sign up to help other nights this week and provide much needed supplies-- click to see what help is needed.
Emek USY Kinnus 2018
Friday, January 26 - Sunday, January 28
Join us under the sea at Emek USY Kinnus 2018! The event will be co-chaired by our own Hannah Bolen and Sari Brusso, at Shaarei Tikvah in Scarsdale , and is open to 8th-12th graders.

If you sign up for Kinnus before January 8, you're eligible for the early bird discount! (The cost will go up to $110 after that date.)

USY Summer Experiences
At Bet Torah, we are able to help support our teens' participation in USY Summer Experiences through the generosity of the Christopher B. Gordon Memorial Fund.

For more than 55 years USY Summer Experience has provided life-changing summer travel opportunities. This summer, teens in 7th-12th grade can travel North America, Israel, Europe, and beyond, opening participants eyes to new places, experiences, and different cultures all over the globe.

J-Teen Leadeership's MLK Day Interfaith Program
Monday, January 15, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
at Westchester Reform Temple, Scarsdale
J-Teen Leadership is spearheading a Westchester-wide interfaith teen volunteer event with the AFYA Foundation in honor of MLK Day, sponsoring shipments of much needed humanitarian supplies to victims of the recent hurricanes that devastated parts of the United States and the territories of Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
JTS Teen Summit
Sunday, January 28, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
at the Jewish Theological Seminary, NYC
Join teens from across North America to learn how to advocate for issues you care about, explore social justice topics of concern from a Jewish perspective, and consider the most effective ways to make a difference right now.
Teen Learning Community (TLC)
