Hello Fellow Friends of Thomas the Tank Engine:
The North Shore Scenic Railroad proudly announces the 2023 Sensory Friendly- Day Out With Thomas (and Percy, too!)! This event takes place in Two Harbors on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 8:30 am – 12:00 noon, with two available ride times, 9:30 and 11:00. This year, the event will once again offer two tickets to those with Sensory needs for FREE... thanks to support from The Depot Foundation. New this year, the event will be held in Two Harbors, Minnesota (near Duluth) at 520 South Ave. As always, we have worked closely with several advisors to create an inclusive event which will give those with sensory needs a day to remember with Thomas the Tank Engine.
This special event allows for extra space on the train and additional time for boarding, along with no music, limited attendance, minimal train whistles, and loud displays will be off. We have also arranged for a quiet room to be available.
Ticket holders will get a chance to take an approximate 20-minute train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine™️, get their picture taken with Thomas, meet Sir Topham Hatt, explore the train museum and participate in the Imagination Station activities. Guests will also enjoy our outdoor events which include an inflatable bounce-house, slide and obstacle course, temporary tattoos, the bubble Mecca and much more. Once you apply the offer code, a "free ticket" option appears. The two tickets are designated for the person with sensory needs and a caregiver or accompanying adult. Additional tickets are $22 each and can be purchased at the same time based on availability.
