Valued Member

I’ve never been as impressed or as proud to be associated with a group of people as I am with NRBP members.

We’ve witnessed leadership, courage, talent, creativity, compassion and commitment to community in abundance during this pandemic. Hospital staff on the front lines, corporations donating PPE, small businesses reinventing themselves, professional firms stepping up with expertise, widespread outreach to those in dire circumstances…the list goes on.

During last week’s webinar, Quest Diagnostics and Rutgers BioMedical & Health Sciences discussed COVID-19 testing, contact tracing and the biopsychosocial approach to the effects of this pandemic. Our presenters were knowledgeable, straightforward and helpful. As the world continues to wrestle with the coronavirus, it was reassuring to know that we have such talent in our midst.

Other programs in our Return to Work Series were equally informative as member presenters delved into COVID-19 challenges including legal, behavioral, engineering, architectural, sanitization and more. We also partnered on webinars about team engagement while working remotely, caring for yourself and others during stressful times and marketing in a crisis. Our Nexus small group networking and Happy Hour are among our offerings to encourage continued connections and we co-hosted an informative video conversation with U.S. Senator Cory Booker.

If you missed the webinars, they were recorded and can be viewed by  clicking here .  If you would like to propose or co-host a webinar that would be of interest to our broad membership, please contact Barbara

We are indebted to NRBP’s volunteer Executive Committee and Board of Directors whose insights and commitment enable us to provide a range of services which we trust you’ll continue to access. And we are grateful to you – our members - for your continued encouragement and support.

Like many of you, working remotely was new to our staff at NRBP and they embraced the challenge of communicating with you and translating our in-person events and connections to the virtual realm. Thanks to Barbara, Nikki, Maya, Nyiesha, Kim and Charisma for their efforts. In person or remotely, we look forward to staying in touch.

Many of us are just days or weeks away from returning to our workplaces. We should do so deliberately and carefully to keep our colleagues and families safe.

We must thank the healthcare heroes in our midst, show appreciation for those on the vanguard of public safety and be grateful for the frontline workers who provide food, transportation and other essential services.

Finally, heading into Memorial Day, please pause to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives for our freedom.

Let’s do all of this...together.
