New UC Space Research Institute is out of this world

The University of Cincinnati Space Research Institute for Discovery and Exploration, has an inaugural director, two powerhouse research chairs and an out-of-this world kick-off March 19.

UC is uniquely positioned to lead the way into the future of space research and thus has created the Space Research Institute, one facet of Research2030, UC’s new 10-year strategic plan for research.

“As we move into new areas of exploration—including robotic and human-tended missions beyond Earth’s orbit and the rapidly growing commercial space industry—UC will harness the knowledge and competencies of our faculty, students and partners to continue Ohio's extensive legacy of contributions to aviation and spaceflight,” says Vice President for Research Patrick Limbach.
