The move, which took effect January 1, combined Franklin, Union, and Needham Townships and is the first such merger in the state. Aspire supports government consolidations to create efficiencies. Congrats to these local units of government for forging a new model for an old layer of government!
 

Last week marked the halfway point of the 2022 legislative session. There have been an uncharacteristically high number of bills that address tax matters for a non-budget session, most of which are now on hold. And Aspire unexpectedly weighed in to oppose anti-free market legislation. But efforts to spur development of affordable housing move ahead.
