Leadership Development
August 22 Priority Registration Date for Leadership Development Program
Are you interested in learning more about being a leader? Do you want to explore interesting and relevant leadership topics with an engaged cohort of peers? Complete your registration for the Leadership Development Program by the priority date on August 22!

Leadership is a lifelong journey, and the best leaders are committed to ongoing learning. The Leadership Development Program offers 10 leadership workshops designed to inspire students to view themselves as leaders and encourage them to commit to the ongoing development of their leadership skills. The Leadership Certificate recognizes students who practice their new leadership knowledge in a hands-on experience and continually reflect on their actions and areas for growth.

Students earn the co-curricular leadership certificate by:
  • Attending 10 interactive workshops
  • Participating in an ongoing leadership experience
  • Meeting with a coach
  • Completing a reflection paper

Upcoming One-Time Leadership Workshops
DiSC Behavior Styles on September 13 at 4:30 p.m.
The most successful leaders are keenly self-aware and have the ability to effectively adjust their styles to meet the demands of their different roles. DiSC profiles help us identify a leader's preferred behavioral style; think of it as a road map showing how a leader is likely to show up in different situations. We can predict how they tend to do things, such as lead others, make decisions, and communicate.

Registration required go.ncsu.edu/learntolead.
Civic and Community Engagement
Interest for the Alternative Service Break Program
We're excited to begin planning for 2021-2022 Alternative Service Break experiences!

The Alternative Service Break (ASB) program is a unique learning experience in which students engage in direct service to a community while being immersed in the culture. Teams are led by student team-leaders and accompanied by faculty or staff advisors.

Each team spends extensive time prior to travel doing team-building, planning for their experience, and studying the scope of their impact in the communities they will engage with. Throughout their travels, team members participate in a variety of cultural, educational, recreational, and reflective activities to enhance their service experience.
