January 16, 2024

Dear Friends,

I want to tell you three things...well, make it four with the postscript!

I'm deeply moved by the role you play in Arts for the Aging’s accomplishments. Together with our community of supporters, our plan in 2024 is to deliver an increased array of connective and imaginative creative aging programs—that’s 644 participatory visual, performing, and literary arts workshops regularly reaching 1,477 older adults and caregivers.

I can’t think of a better way to honor our founder Lolo Sarnoff’s joyful and pioneering legacy than harnessing growth in support for our mission. November 9 will mark a decade since her passing and January 9 was her birthday. We cherish community members like you because you help us fulfill our founding vision, which demonstrates how all manner of arts participation uplifts health and our sense of belonging—and in ways that blend Lolo's love of science with the art of lending a hand.

It’s no wonder studies show health benefits behind creative aging; that the field of arts in health is thriving 36 years since our founding. During this epidemic of loneliness we are experiencing, together we recognize the therapeutic power of arts participation throughout our lifespans.

I'm excited to achieve more together in 2024. We will come together, imagine evolutions, and keep communities connected.

Sending every good wish,

Janine Tursini

Director & CEO

P.S. – We moved! Our new address is below.
