2019 is drawing to a close. There are less than three weeks left in the year and less than 20 days left in this decade! If you've been thinking about making a change, there is no better time than now to take that leap of faith. The end of the year is a great time to engage not only in self-reflection, but in action. Whether you want to change your attitude toward your work, adopt a new hobby, or switch careers entirely, it's important to remind ourselves that we don't need the full plan, but the confidence and guts to take the first step towards a more fulfilling professional and personal life.

What we're reading:
Following through with New Year's resolutions can be tough . It's easy to feel overwhelmed and stop short. So, let's take some of the pressure off. This NY Times article suggests starting to practice your New Year's resolutions now. Think of the last few weeks of the year as a 'trial period,' where you'll take baby steps towards your goals. Try them out, see if they're realistic and the best part is, it doesn't matter if you mess up because you haven't committed to anything yet!
What we're watching:
Speaker and author Emma Rosen offers this inspiring TED talk on the intersection of your passion and career.  She took a "radical sabbatical", trying out many different jobs over the course of a year. Her advice? Don't think about jobs, think about who you are as a person. Take stock of your skills and what you want to get out of a job, and don't "marry" your first job. How do you feel at work? Are you playing to your strengths and passions or is it time for a change in 2020?
What we're inspired by:

"For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning."
