What we're watching:

This 6 minute long TED Talk, ' Build a tower, build a team ' packs in a lot, as it summarizes the fascinating observations of running the Marshmallow Experiment over a few years. But it's quite different to see it than to experience it... So, let us know if you're free to join us on September 30th!
What we're reading:

Are you more of an explorer, a gardener, or a coach? Tim Brown of IDEO feels that all three approaches are needed to unlock creative potential of a team, as he explains in this short but insightful blog post " Unlock Your Organization's Creative Potential ".
Quote we're inspired by:

"Technology can be a vehicle to help people create and collaborate better, but at the end of the day, people need to learn to work with people."

--- Marina Bers,
Professor of computer science and child development at Tufts University

" Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose." This French quote, which translates in English to 'The more things change, the more they stay the same,' is a good reminder that despite the fast-changing times in which we live, there are some principles that are not changing. Human Centered Design gets to the core of what is not changing. This includes the importance of collaboration, communication, play, experimentation (aka prototyping) and the ability to empathize, which is our human super-power.
If you're in Costa Rica (or you want to fly out to join us), we will be running our inaugural 1-day intensive workshop on Human Centered Design on September 30th and we'd love to have you!

See you in two weeks for our next Three Thought Thursday!
