What we're watching:

This 2-min. video for the upcoming International Day of Peace raises awareness of the potential to organize for peace and suggests practical things we can do tomorrow and this weekend.
What we're reading:

The reflections of one company's approach to align their strategic vision to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - unfortunately, it's part of a small minority of companies achieving their sustainability goals to date.
Quote we're inspired by:

"To move forward we must recognize that in the midst of a magnificent diversity of cultures and life forms we are one human family and one Earth community with a common destiny."

The Earth Charter, Preamble
Tomorrow, September 21, is the International Day of Peace.  The concept of peace runs much deeper than the absence of war or observable violence. For us, it is about a more just, equitable, and sustainable planet for the human family that we are are all part of. And the 17 Sustainable Development Goals serve as blueprint towards that end. We have seen that our participants, whatever sector they come from, have the desire to contribute towards a more peaceful future.
UPEACE's motto is 'Educating Leaders Who Can Change the World' - we invite you to join us in this movement and come spend some time with us, whether in Costa Rica (see our upcoming workshops on campus) or online.
See you in the next Three Thought Thursday!
