"What keeps you up at night?" That was the question that Mohit Mukherjee, the Centre's Founding Director, reflects on in this TED-style talk, 'Social Entrepreneurship: A pathway to well-being'. His goal: To try NOT to put everyone to sleep.
What we're reading:
We were moved by Elon's Musk's vulnerable interview last week about the toll his work is taking on his health and personal life. At the Centre, we are deeply committed to promoting the importance of self-care and well-being into all of our processes. This short article captures the story of a culture that celebrates 'obsessive overwork'.
Quote we're inspired by:
"Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family."
As we mourn the loss of ex-Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, we continue to be inspired by his vision of education. The day we learnt about his passing, we were concluding a 3-day workshop on Positive Leadership. We handed out participant certificates by the tree that Kofi Annan had planted when he had visited the UPEACE campus. Each certificate we handed out carries the logo of the United Nations and the words "Our hope for peace". His legacy lives on.
