Over 4 x 90 minute sessions John examines the key principles of good Dialogue and how the best stories communicate information. 

Focusing on subtext, exposition and symbolism you will leave with a clear understanding of how information is communicated and how Dialogue, used badly, can completely destroy a story, but used well, can transform your work

What is a Scene

3rd, 4th and 5th June

In six 90 minute sessions, John takes us through scene structure, scene history, scenes as building blocks, and scenes as chains of cause and effect. How they work, how to write them, how to cut from one to another, how to use them to create pace, how to use them to define character, how to make them utterly compelling
